The situation
Electrical contractor blows a fuse
The electrical contractor had built a reputation for outstanding work, serving a growing customer base in the Southeast Region. They maintained offices in a number of cities, which were interconnected by a dedicated network.
Everything was working fine until their Charlotte office landed a huge contract for a new stadium. The project generated large volumes of engineering-related files that needed to be transferred quickly across the network. Since some of these files were massive, network performance dragged and frustration levels were at an all-time high.
The challenge
Slow performance

The solution
A little digging uncovered the real problem
Our team approached the problem with no preconceptions. We used our tools and expertise to inspect everything, including things that might have been overlooked before. We also uncovered bottlenecks at just a few junctures that were jamming the entire network.
We found a few obsolete switches that were gumming up the network, which we promptly replaced with new servers and made some tweaks to manage load balancing.
The results
Significant network performance improvement
